Debrief Provides Solutions for Today’s Most Challenging Local Issues

Our efforts are grounded in the responsibility we hold to represent local communities with honor in the stories and data we share.

Passion, Purpose, and the People Who Started It All

Core Principals

We are a values driven organization. Our core principles reflect our experiences living in the communities we serve, and inform our partnerships with the organizations we work with on a daily basis.

MISSION

We’re on a mission to build stronger, more connected communities where people come together, organizations and systems serve with purpose, and everyone has access to the information they need to thrive.

VISION

We want to create communities where everyone has the opportunity to participate in civic discourse.

VALUES

  • Impact: We are driven by the goal of long-lasting, positive change that improves lives and strengthens communities for generations to come.
  • Prosperity: We want people to thrive and live safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives in the communities they call home.
  • Trust: We know that trust is a powerful enabler of improving systems. We are committed to help build trust between people, communities, and the systems that serve them.

Meet The CEO

Nancy is the CEO and a co-founder of Debrief. Raised in West and South Modesto, she understands the power of community input especially in disadvantaged communities.

With a commitment to centering community voices, she leads cross-cutting work that uplifts and amplifies the lived experiences of underserved populations. Her work focuses on ensuring that these voices influence decision-making processes and power structures ranging from local governments and public schools to financial systems and social services.

Meet the Founders

Emmanuel, Jose, and Nancy founded Debrief in 2021 in response to the lack of meaningful community engagement they witnessed in their own neighborhoods.

As lifelong residents of South and West Modesto, they created Debrief with a mission to serve communities like theirs: underrepresented, underserved, and often marginalized. Recognizing how communities are too often reduced to data points, metrics, and dollar signs, Debrief was born to shift that narrative. By telling the stories behind the numbers and equipping organizations with the insights they need to truly understand and meet the real needs of the communities they aim to serve.
